When an asset reaches its maintenance threshold, MobiWork can generate a dedicated work order for that asset. Once the work is completed, the asset's latest service mileage and engine hours can be recorded, providing an ongoing maintenance history and establishing the starting point for the next service interval.
MobiWork updates the asset records with this information and uses the configured maintenance rules to determine when service is approaching or overdue. This approach gives you a more proactive way to manage maintenance, while reducing the need to manually monitor mileage and engine hours across individual assets.
To create a recurrent service for asset usage, first open the Add Recurrent Service pop-up window. Then select the "Asset" option from the "Type" drop-down. You will then be able to select the desired asset from the "Asset" field.
From the "Work Order Generation" toggle, select the Usage-Based option. If the Usage-Based option is selected, you will then be able to select if you would like the work orders to be generated by milage or engine hours. The latest the engine usage and milage will be retrieved from the asset and will then be used to automatically update the corresponding fields on the corresponding asset:
When maintenance is due, MobiWork will create one work order per asset, allowing each asset to have its own maintenance work order and service history.
To make maintenance management easier, MobiWork can provide dashboards and saved searches that give users a quick view of upcoming and overdue asset maintenance. These tools would allow users to identify which assets are approaching their maintenance thresholds, which assets are already overdue, and which maintenance work orders require attention.
