Overview

Take charge of your customer data with MobiWork's easy-to-use import and export features. Say goodbye to manual data entry and hello to efficiency. With the export action you will be able to export your valuable customer data into dynamic Excel reports or sync them to your third-party accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

This section will guide you through the seamless process of importing and exporting customers, contact details, and locations from Excel or QuickBooks, putting you in control of your Excel documents and streamlining your customer management.

How to Access the Page

To import or export your customers, click on the More Actions button on the Customers feature page. Select the desired import or export option from the drop-down:

To import or export your customers into Excel or QuickBooks, you must first access the Customers feature page on MobiWork. For more information on how to access this page, please see the Customers List page.

Import Customers

Once you have entered the customers in the Excel document correctly, you can upload that document to MobiWork:

First, access the Customers feature page. Please see the Customers List section for more information on how to access this page.

When you are on any of the Customers tabs, select the More Actions button and from the drop-down click on the "Import From Excel," "Import Contacts from Excel," or "Import Locations from Excel" option:

  1. By selecting the "Import From Excel" option, you will be importing both contacts and location.

  2. By selecting the "Import Contacts from Excel" option, you will only be importing contacts.

  3. By selecting the "Import Locations from Excel" option, you will only be importing locations.

Upload your Excel file to the drag & drop feature and then click on the Import button:

  • To validate any emails or phone numbers click the "Strict Validation" option or to show if any records are unchanged click the "Show Unchanged Records" option:

  • You will then be redirected to the Confirm Import page. Confirm your imported Excel file by hitting the Submit button:

  • Once you are redirected to the Import Customers Results page, click the Done button:

  • The newly uploaded customers from Excel will then be displayed in MobiWork with your other customers.
  • Note: Please note that in the Excel document, a double asterisk (**) indicates a conditional field, while a single asterisk (*) denotes a required field.

    Edit Multiple Customers

    To export your customers into an Excel document, you will first need to access the Customers section. Once you click on the More Actions button there are several different export options for you to choose from:

    1. Export to Excel

    2. Export to Excel for Invoice Creation

    3. Export Contacts to Excel

    4. Export Locations to Excel

    Once you are done updating your customers, you can import the Excel file back into MobiWork. You can accomplish this by selecting the "Import Customers from Excel" option from the More Actions drop-down on the feature page. For more information on how to import cusomters, please see the Add Customer page.

    Note: Please note that if you would like to export all your entries into Excel you can click on the topmost checkbox (Multiple Selection Area). Likewise, if you do not select any entries ALL records will be exported.



    Export to Excel (Drop-down)

    Click on the More Actions button and from the drop-down menu select the "Export to Excel" option:

    The Excel file will automatically download, and you will be able to locate it in your computer's Download folder.

    The "Export to Excel" option will export your customers and prospects to an Excel file. This Excel file will have all the basic information regarding your customers and prospects, including their names, statuses, countries, etc.:



    Export to Excel for Invoice Creation

    To export this file from the Customers feature page:

    1. Select the customers that you would like to export to Excel:

      • Please note that if you would like to export all your customers into Excel you can click on the topmost checkbox (Multiple Selection Area) located in the Customers feature page. Likewise, if you do not select any customers ALL records will be exported:

    2. Click on the More Actions button and from the drop-down menu select the "Export to Excel for Invoice Creation" option:

    3. The Excel file will automatically download, and you will be able to locate it in your computer's Download folder.

    By selecting the "Export to Excel for Invoice Creation" option, your Excel document will be formatted to allow manual input of invoices, which can then be uploaded into MobiWork:



    Export Contacts to Excel

    Click on the More Actions button and from the drop-down menu select the "Export Contacts to Excel" option:

    The Excel file will automatically download, and you will be able to locate it in your computer's Download folder.

    By selecting the "Export Contacts to Excel" option, you will only be exporting your contact, customer, and prospect information:



    Export Locations to Excel

    Click on the More Actions button and from the drop-down menu select the "Export Locations to Excel" option:

    The Excel file will automatically download, and you will be able to locate it in your computer's Download folder.

    By selecting the "Export Locations to Excel" option, you will only be exporting the locations, addresses, location names, etc. of your customer and prospect contacts:
