This section will highlight how to successfully navigate to the Assets page through the customer portal. The Assets page will allow your customers to view the assets that are associated to them.
Your customer can access the Assets page by clicking on the Assets feature from the customer portal menu:
The Assets page will immediately display all the assets that are associated with the customer and allow them to add a work order:
The Search function and Magnifying Glass will allow the customer to search through all the assets that are associated with them
The Assets Columns are structured to display specific data related to each individual asset
The customer can use the search bar to locate a specific asset:
By entering the Asset ID, name, category, serial number, or SKU and pressing Enter (Windows Keyboard), Return (Mac Keyboard), or clicking the Magnifying Glass, the customer will be able to locate the specified asset.
The columns found in Assets page are structured to display specific data related to each individual asset:
These columns are organized as: "ID," "Image," "Name," "Category," "Serial Number," "SKU," "Location," and "Actions." The columns from the Assets page are further defined below:
Name: | Description: |

"ID" | The Work Order ID |
"Image" | The image icon of the asset |
"Name" | The name of the asset |
"Category" | The category that the asset is classified under |
"Serial Number" | The serial number of the asset |
"SKU" | The Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) number used to track and identify the asset in inventory systems, often associated with barcode scanning. |
"Location" | The location where the asset is stored |
"Actions" | Allows the customer to access the View Asset pop-up window or add a work order |
Add a Work Order
The customer can also add a work order from the Assets page, by clicking on the drop-down from the View button and selecting the "Add Work Order" option:
