Import and Export Assets
Overview
In addition to the various documents that you can export an asset to, there are a variety of ways that you can export them; this section will highlight the different documents you can export your assets to and also how to import your assets into MobiWork.
How to Access the Page

To export or import your assets, you will first need to access the Assets feature page. For more information about this page, please see the Asset List page.

  • From the Assets feature page, you can export or import your assets from the More Actions button:

Import From Excel

  1. You can click on the More Actions button from the "Global Actions" section, and from the drop-down select the "Import From Excel" or the "Import Asset Maintenance" option.

Export into Excel

  1. You can click on the More Actions button from the "Global Actions" section, and from the drop-down select the "Export to Excel" option or the "Export Asset Maintenance" option.

Export into PDF

  1. You can click on the More Actions button from the "Global Actions" section, and from the drop-down select the "Export to PDF" option.

Import From Excel

You can import assets from your Excel document. Please note that to import the assets correctly, the Excel document must be formatted in the correct manner (please see the image below for the correct headings and order):

Please note that:

  • Headers marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

  • Headers marked with two asterisks (**) are conditional and are required if specific criteria are met.

Once you have entered the assets in the Excel document correctly, you can upload that document to MobiWork:

You can use this method to upload multiple assets at once.

  1. First, access the Assets feature page. Please see the Asset List page for more information on how to access this page.

  2. When you are on the Assets feature page, select the More Actions button and from the drop-down click on the "Import From Excel" option:

  3. Upload your Excel file to the drag & drop feature and then click on the Import button:

  4. You will then be redirected to the Confirm Import page. Confirm your imported Excel file by hitting the Submit button:

  5. Once you are redirected to the Import Work Order Results page, click the Done button:

  6. The newly uploaded assets from Excel will then be displayed in MobiWork with your other assets.

Export to Excel

To export this file, you will first need to be on the Assets feature page. Once you are on this page:

  1. Select the asset(s) that you would like to export to Excel:

    • Please note that if you would like to export all your assets into Excel you can click on the topmost checkbox (Multiple Selection Area) located in the Assets feature page columns:

  2. Click on the More Actions button and from the drop-down menu select the "Export to Excel" option:

  3. The Excel file will automatically download, and you will be able to locate it in your computer's Download folder.

This export will display the basic asset data (e.g., Asset name, the customer information of the customer who has the asset, the manufacturer, the serial number, etc.) in an easy-to-read format. You can then use Excel to easily navigate through your company's assets:

Export to PDF

To export your assets into a PDF document, you will first need to access the Assets feature page. Once you click on the More Actions button, select the "Export to PDF" option from the drop-down:

The PDF file will automatically download, and you will be able to locate it in your computer's Download folder:

The PDF document will display the asset IDs, the status of the asset, and the scheduled recurrent service type. There will be a green dot illustrating which recurrent service type the asset falls under.
