Edit Parts
Overview

Unlock the full potential of your part and product management with MobiWork's intuitive editing tools. MobiWork empowers you to effortlessly modify individual parts or products, including updating their images.

From updating descriptions to adjusting weights, you have complete control. This section will highlight how to access the edit part feature and the Edit Part pop-up window.

To update multiple parts or products at once, please the Import or Export Parts page for more information.

How to Access the Page

To edit a part, you will first need to be on the Parts feature tab on MobiWork; for more information on how to access this page, please see the Parts List (Catalog) section.

Once you are on this page, there are three different ways you can edit the part:

  1. Clicking on the part ID to open the View Part pop-up window

    • In the upper right-corner of the View Part pop-up window, you will see a Pencil icon and the Individual Actions button. Either option will allow you to edit the part.

    • Please note that there are many ways that you can access the View Part pop-up window. Please see the View Part page for the different ways that you can open the View Part pop-up window.

  2. Right-clicking on a part to open the right-click options. (The options that are displayed when you right-click on a part are also available when you select the Individual Actions button.)

  3. Clicking on the Individual Actions button (the three vertical dots) from the "Actions" column. (The options that are displayed from the Individual Actions button are the same as when you right-click on a part.)

Please note that if you choose to edit a part directly from the View Quote or View Invoice pop-up windows, you will only be able to edit that singular instance of the part.

Edit a Single Part

There are several different ways to edit a single part. The section, How to Access the Page, will illustrate how to navigate to this pop-up window.


Edit a Product Pop-up Window

Regardless of how you choose to edit a part, the Edit Part pop-up window will then appear.

In this window you can update the warehouse location of the part, the description of the part, upload the part image, and more:

The terms found in the Edit Part pop-up window are defined below:

Name:Description:
"Name" The designated name or title of the part for easy identification.
"Description" The description of the part
"Model" The model number of the part.
"SKU #" The stock keeping unit of the part; this can be used to store the barcode number.
"Manufacturer" The company or entity responsible for producing or creating the part.
"MPN" The Manufacturer Part Number; this number will help the manufacturer locate the specified part or product in their system.
"Advanced Options" By clicking the "Advanced Options" checkbox, you will be able to input additional information about the part; this includes the warehouse location, inventory tracking, and more.
"Asset" Specifies whether the part is eligible to be converted into an asset.
"Inventory" Specifies whether inventory tracking is enabled for the part. From this drop-down you can disable inventory tracking.
"Warehouse Location" The exact coordinates of where the part is located in the warehouse.
"Discount Allowed" Indicates if a discount is allowed on the part.
"Max Discount Percent Allowed" Indicates the maximum discount percentage allowed for the part
"Points" A numerical system used to calculate sales rankings and objectives.
"Price" The price of the part.
"Cost" How much the listed part costs your company.
"Taxable" Indicates if the product is taxable or not; if taxable, please click the checkbox.
"Category" The category that the part is classified under.
"Image" The associated image that represents the part.
Edit Image

You can update the image of a part through the Edit Part pop-up window. From this pop-up window, you can choose to either edit or remove the image by clicking on the respective button:

Once you click on the Edit button, the Add Image pop-up window will appear. You can upload the image to this pop-up window and then click the Save button:
