Add a Warehouse
Overview

In MobiWork, adding a new warehouse to your system is quick and convenient, with multiple ways to access the Add Warehouse pop-up window.

The Add Warehouse pop-up window will allow you to input key details such as the warehouse name, type (standard, truck, or shop), address, and even latitude/longitude coordinates for precise location tracking.

This intuitive process ensures that setting up and managing new warehouse locations is seamless, helping you stay organized and efficient in your company's operations.

How to Access the Page

In MobiWork, there are several ways to add a warehouse to your system. The subsections below will highlight how to access the Add Warehouse pop-up window.



From the Inventory Drop-Down

  1. The fastest and easiest way to add a new warehouse is by accessing the drop-down menu from the Inventory feature located in your MobiWork menu:
  2. Select the "Add Warehouse" option from the drop-down.

  3. The Add Warehouse pop-up window will then appear.



From the Warehouse's More Actions

On the Warehouses feature page, you will be able to add a warehouse by clicking on the Plus Sign button.

Click on the Plus Sign button to add a new warehouse:

The Add Warehouse pop-up window will then appear.

Regardless of the method that you choose to add a warehouse, the Add Warehouse pop-up window will appear:

In the Add Warehouse pop-up window input:

  • The name of the warehouse.

  • The type of warehouse storage facility, such as a standard warehouse, truck, or shop.

  • The street address.

  • The city, country, and zip code where the warehouse resides.

  • Alternatively, you can use the "Address" Lookup field or the "Latitude/Longitude" fields to enter the warehouse's address.

  • You can also input the location's name.

Once you are satisfied with the information entered, click the Add button to save your new warehouse.

The terms in the Add Warehouse pop-up window are defined below:

Name:Description:
"Name" The name of the designated warehouse.
"Type" Indicates if the warehouse is a standard warehouse, store, or truck. Please note that a truck can serve as both a warehouse and an asset; however, these two roles cannot be directly connected and must be labeled separately. However, you can store an asset truck within a warehouse designated as a truck. For more information, please refer to the Transfer Asset page.
"Address Lookup" Allows you to input the entered address as well as offer suggestions.
"Street Address" In this field input the street address of the warehouse.
"City" In this field input the city of where the warehouse resides.
"Country" In this field input the country where the warehouse resides.
"State" In this field input the state where the warehouse resides.
"Zip Code" In this field input the warehouse zip code.
"Latitude/Longitude" Allows you to input the latitude and longitude coordinates of the address.
"Location Name" The name of the location.
