Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ): User Settings
Max Session Idle Time for Users
Overview

When logged into your MobiWork account, MobiWork will automatically log users out after a certain amount of time. This is for security purposes, to prevent unauthorized users from accessing data on your device.

To change the amount of time before users are automatically logged out, take the following steps:

Changing Your Own Timeout Settings
  1. Navigate to Account > Settings.
  2. In the Account tab, choose My Settings.
  3. Under the General header, you'll see your Max Session Idle Time. This is how long your device can sit idle before logging you out. Click Edit Settings to modify.
  4. Still within the General header, uncheck the box for Use Global Settings to allow you to edit the Max Session Idle Time field.
  5. Change the value (measured in minutes) of the Max Session Idle Time field.
    • For instance, if your Max Session Idle Time is set to 90, MobiWork will log the user out after 90 minutes of inactivity, requiring a login with password to regain access.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click Save.
  7. Your settings should now reflect the new Max Session Idle Time.

Changing Other Users' Timeout Settings
  1. If you are a Global Admin user, you can modify this setting for other users on your account, following these steps:
  2. Navigate to Account > Users.
  3. Click the user you would like to modify.
  4. On the next page, choose the Settings tab.
  5. At the bottom of the page, select the Edit Settings button.
  6. Still within the General header, uncheck the box for Use Global Settings to allow you to edit the Max Session Idle Time field.
  7. Change the value (measured in minutes) of the Max Session Idle Time field.
    • For instance, if your Max Session Idle Time is set to 90, MobiWork will log the user out after 90 minutes of inactivity, requiring a login with password to regain access.
  8. Scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click Save.
  9. Your settings should now reflect the new Max Session Idle Time.
