Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ): Recurrent Services
Recurrent Service Templates
Overview

MobiWork allows you to generate recurrent service templates; these templates are versatile and allow you to quickly generate pre-defined recurrent services for specific situations. These templates also facilitate the process of bulk importing, since many of the required fields are completed by the template and thus are no longer required to be manually filled.

Please note that the recurrent service template currently only allows the standard invoice to carry over. However, future updates will include the ability to carry over recurrent invoices from the template to the generated recurrent service.

Once a recurrent service is created from the template, the newly generated recurrent service will no longer be linked to the template. Thus, any edits or modifications to the newly generated recurrent service will not be reflected in the template it was generated from.

Note: Please note that the recurrent service template can only be used to generate new recurrent services; it cannot edit existing recurrent services.

Create a Brand New Recurrent Service Template

To create a new recurrent service template, you will need to access the Recurrent Service Templates page:

From this page, simply click on the Plus Sign button. The Add Recurrent Service Template pop-up window will then appear:

In this window enter the following information:

  • The name of the recurrent service template

  • The type of recurrent service (i.e., user, customer, or asset).

  • The category of the recurrent service. You can add your own categories such as quarterly, yearly, etc.

  • The auto-renewal date, which updates the end date of the recurrent service.

  • The work order generation setting, which allows for automatic creation based on a specific time interval.

  • how often the recurrent service should repeat. Specifies the interval in days at which the recurrent service is scheduled to repeat.

  • The weekend handling which Specifies how work orders should be handled if they fall on the weekend.

From an Existing Recurrent Service

You can also create a recurrent service template from an existing recurrent service. Simply access the recurrent service you wish to use as the basis of your template.

From the Individual Actions button, select the "Add Recurrent Service Template" option from the drop-down:

The Add Recurrent Service Template pop-up window will then appear. In this pop-up window, enter the name of the recurrent service template:

The standard invoice, parts, services, and work order details/visits will carry over to the template.

Data Transferred to Recurrent Service Templates

The recurrent service's parts, services, work order details/visits, and standard invoices will be carried over to the generated recurrent service. Any assets, reminders, notes, and recurrent invoices will not carry over.
