To reserve specific time slots during a customer's workday when users should not schedule appointments, implement a scheduling constraint for the chosen customer.
This section will go over some commonly asked questions regarding scheduling constraints, including how to create a schedule constraint.
To create a schedule constraint on a selected customer, you will first need to be on the Customer List page. Once you are on this page, select the desired customers you would like to add a schedule constraint to. Then click on the More Actions button, and from the drop-down select the "Add Scheduling Constraint" option:
The Add Scheduling Constraint pop-up window will then appear:
From the "Constraint Type" drop-down select one of the following:
Customer Can Only be Serviced- Indicates when the customer is open for work orders.
Customer Cannot be Serviced- Indicates when the customer does not have availability.
Then you can select the "All Day" checkbox to indicate if the schedule block should take the entire day. Or you can select the exact timeline with the "From Time" and "To Time." Once you are satisfied with the data entered, click the Add button to save the schedule constraint for the selected customers.
You can also create a scheduling constraint directly through the View Work Order pop-up window and the "Constraint" tab.
