If your users are in an area with intermittent signal, they can use MobiWork's offline mode to continue working within the app without worrying about their signal.
This section will highlight some of the most commonly asked questions regarding offline mode.
To access your work information in offline mode, first open the work order. Once the work order is open, enable offline mode. This allows you to continue working within the work order without worrying about your signal.
Once you are in an area with a strong signal, disable offline mode, and the system will upload any cached data to the web.
When a device goes offline, image data is cached and automatically uploaded once the device reconnects. Users can review any pending uploads by navigating to the About page from the sidebar, selecting the Offline button, and viewing the cached items.
Additionally, offline images may display a placeholder until the device reconnects, at which point the actual image becomes visible once the document URL is available.
Only certain entities can be edited while offline, which are listed on the Offline Cached Items page, where users can also review cached changes and any errors.
Note: Please note that Assets are not supported in offline mode; enabling this feature would require custom development and a scope evaluation by the team.
